Heimat?

During my bachelor’s thesis, I dealt a lot with the term ‘home’ and ‘coming home’ – where does the term come from and what does it mean for people in general, but especially for me personally.

For me, ‘home’ is a feeling, lots of smells, people and rituals.

I have tried to adapt elements that meant ‘home’ to me in my childhood and incorporate them into the design of my (homewear) collection. My mum’s apple pie, watching Tatort together on Sundays, the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper that was always on the dining table, but also one of my kindergarten drawings as a print for the dress and sweatshirt.

The whole thing was presented in the house of my best friend’s (wonderful) grandparents, which created the perfect setting for me with its cosiness and lots of kitsch.
